Barack Obama Plans To Take Michelle On A Vacation & Get Some Rest After Leaving The White House

Barack Obama has all of two months before he moves out of the White House. And the outgoing President has some cool plans up his sleeve that he would like to see through.

In his final foreign speech as the President at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Lima, Obama said that if it ever came to speaking against Donald Trump, he would. He said so after highlighting the fact that the Republicans aren't as famous as one would like to believe.

He said he will not be the last Democratic President, quoting how Hillary Clinton won the popular vote in the US polls.

But what post-presidency plans does the outgoing President have in store?

"My intention is to, certainly for the next two months, just finish my job. And then after that, to take Michelle on vacation, get some rest, spend time with my girls, and do some writing, do some thinking," he said.

Although he wants to give Trump all the space he needs to put forth his new presidency, Obama made it very clear that he will speak out against Trump if the need ever arose.

"As an American citizen who cares deeply about our country, if there are issues that have less to do with the specifics of some legislative proposal or battle or go to core questions about our values and ideals, and if I think that it's necessary or helpful for me to defend those ideals, I'll examine it when it comes," he added.

We will definitely take him up on that offer. Also, it's safe to assume that Obama will be around to bring out the sun on a rainy day.
