Travel Blue Travel Retail director Jonathan Smith said: "The Singapore show is an important date in our travel retail schedule. We have been working hard to develop a strong portfolio offering, and we are excited to share the new products with our customers.

"Getting the products right for the consumer is vital. We have been seeing an increase in the demand from consumers in Asia for travel products that will make their journeys more comfortable and safer – this is what our portfolio offers."

"We are focused on continuing to develop products that give us a competitive edge in the channel. Releasing the most up to date, relevant products that appeal to the regional passenger profile is a vital part of our strategy, and one that we are very proud of. This region is important in our strategy, so we are focused on releasing products that appeal to the consumers wants and needs to ensure we continue to be a market leader in travel accessories," adds Smith.

Meanwhile, the company has opened a new 28sq m brand corner at Beijing airport in partnership with Sunrise Duty Free. Situated in terminal 3, the opening represents a response to the increased demand that is being seen for travel accessories by passengers.

The corner offers travellers the complete range of Travel Blue products including Procter & Gamble brands distributed by Travel Blue – Oral-B, Braun, and Duracell. Smith continued, "Travellers are keen to see more travel friendly items in stores that will assist in making their trip more comfortable and safe. The sales we have recorded from the brand corner have been fantastic already, benefitting from Chinese New Year travel, and with the busiest travel season yet to start!"

Smith added: "It has been around seven years since Sunrise Duty Free first introduced the Travel Blue brand into its shops. So, we are naturally thrilled that February saw the launch of our first corner with the operator. The demand for travel accessories has been increasing steadily for a number of years now, and we are determined to be at the forefront of this promising growth. Asia is a very important region for us in terms of our global travel retail strategy, so opening this corner is a significant move; one that we hope will be repeated in other key Asia destinations."
